Cauliflower koottu cooking recipes

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower florets – 3-4 cups cleaned
  • (To clean,immerse the flowerets in salt and turmeric infused hot water,drain and wash with several changes of waters)
  • Big onion,chopped – 4 cups
  • Turmeric – 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 2 tbsp
  • Garam masala – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  • Ginger paste – 1 tbsp
  • Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Green chilli – 1 chopped
  • Soya sauce – 1 tbsp each
  • Coriander leaves – 1/2 cup
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • Refined oil – 4 tbsp
  • Salt 2 pinches

Method

  • Steam cauliflower florets until cooked.
  • Saute chilli in a pan in hot oil,add big onion,add sugar,so it wilts easily
  • Add cauliflower
  • Add condiments and sauces
  • Add 1 tsp refined oil
  • Mix one tsp cornflour in 1 tsp water,pour into the curry
  • Check salt.  Serve hot,garnished with chopped cilantro
