In India, neem has been a significant part in the beauty hair care regime. It is known to have antifungal and antiviral properties. The antimicrobial properties helps fight dandruff. Neem oil can be prepared at home or even make a neem hair mask which will be effective.
In a bowl, add neem leaves and make a paste of it. Add curd and mix well. Apply this mixture all over your scalp. Leave it for 20 mins and then rinse with water. Since neem has antifungal properties, with the combination of soothing curd, it is effective in fighting dandruff.
Combination of Egg White & Lime Juice
Egg white helps in providing the scalp with the lacking proteins, which eventually makes the dandruff disappear. Since egg whites are rich in proteins, it provides adequate amount of proteins. Vitamin C is also effective in protecting against oxidative stress caused due to free radicals. It also helps in boosting circulation and collagen, furthermore enhancing the scalp health.
In a bowl add 2 egg whites with fresh lime juice and mix well. Apply this paste to your hair and leave it for about 30 mins. Rinse your hair with water and a neem soap. Since neem has antifungal properties and due to the high proteins present in egg whites, it is effective in fighting dandruff.

In a bowl, add amla powder and make a paste of it by adding water. Mix well. Grind about 5-10 tulsi leaves with little water in another bowl making a paste of it. Add the tulsi paste into the amla paste and mix well. Apply this paste on to your scalp. Leave it for about 30 mins and rinse with cold water and pat it dry with soft cloth.
Just like egg whites, even fenugreek seeds contain high protein and furthermore has the presence of nicotinic acid content, which helps in preventing hair fall and dandruff. In a bowl, soak 3 tbsp of fenugreek seeds in water, leave it overnight. Using a blender, blend the soaked fenugreek seeds the following morning. Check for the consistency of the paste. Add 1 tbsp of lemon juice into this fenugreek paste. Mix well. Apply this paste onto your scalp and hair ends. Leave it for about 30 mins. Rinse your hair with water and pat dry. In a bowl, soak 5-6 reetha pods, 7-8 shikakai pieces, and a few amla pods in water, leave it overnight. The following morning, heat the mixture until boil. Turn off the heat and set it aside to cool. Using a blender, blend the mixture. Check for consistency of the paste. Now strain the mixture and discard residue. Apply this mixture onto your scalp. Leave it for 20 mins and rinse with water.
