Ingredients

  • Dried Bitter Gourd slices or leaves
  • Water
  • Honey (Sweetener)

Instructions

It can be easily prepared at home. You just need some dried fresh bitter gourd slices, enough amount of water and any natural sweetener like honey. The tea can even be made by dried bitter gourd leaves.

  1. Boil the water in a pot and add the dried bitter gourd slices to it.
  2. Let the water boil for about 10 mins on a medium heat. All the beneficial nutrients will eventually seep into it.
  3. Remove the pot from the flame and set it aside for few mins.
  4. Filter the contents from the pot to a teapot or any individual cup for serving.
  5. Add a sweetener like honey and give it a sweet taste.

NOTE: But it is advisable to avoid sweeteners if you are consuming tea for regulating blood sugar levels.
