Tasty Egg Bhurji Recipe
Egg bhurji is an easy scrambled eggs recipe which can be prepared within 10 minutes. Apart from the eggs, sliced onion pieces, tomatoes and spices are the ingredients used in this dish. This spicy recipe goes well with bread, roti and boiled rice. It is a handy recipe for the people who do not have much cooking experience. Ingredients used
- ½ cup finely chopped Onions (chopped to fine pieces)
- 2-3 eggs
- 2-3 medium sized Tomato (chopped to fine pieces)
- ½ teaspoon of Ginger Garlic paste
- Salt for the taste
- ½ teaspoon of Chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon of Coriander powder
- ¼ teaspoon of Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon of Garam masala powder
- 1 tablespoon of Oil
- 1 teaspoon of Jeera / Cumin seeds
- 2 tablespoon of Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
Method of preparation
- Break the eggs into a bowl, add some salt and beat it with a fork or a spoon.
- Heat some oil in a pan and the cumin seeds, when it sizzles, add the onion pieces and the green chillies.
- Saute it till the onions turn to a light brown texture. Now, add the ginger garlic paste and continue sauting for few minutes.
- Add the tomato pieces and the spices like chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and the garam masala powder. Also, add some salt for the taste.
- Cook it until the tomatoes turn soft and the raw smell of spice powders disappears.
- Now, add the beaten eggs and use a medium flame in cooking the mixture.
- Once it is cooked for 2-3 minutes or when it gets scrambled, transfer it to a serving bowl.
- Garnish the egg bhurji recipe with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve it hot as a side dish for parathas, roti, bread toast or chapatis
