Fruits which can be added in Your diet to reduce cholesterol levels

High cholesterol in the blood is a stepping stone to many life-threatening health problems, such as heart attack and stroke .With high cholesterol, you can develop fatty deposits in your blood vessels. Gradually, these deposits grow, making it difficult for enough blood to flow through your arteries. Sometimes, those deposits can break suddenly and form a clot that causes a heart attack or stroke.

Although optimum level of cholesterol is necessary for body functioning. But once the cholesterol is above the normal level it opens door for major health issues. Symptoms of high cholesterol include chest pain, dizziness, and extreme level of fatigueness, go breathless, high blood pressure, slurred speech, and pain in the lower leg, tightness in chest etc.

Apple

Avocado

Avocado Oil is Rich in oleic acid, a very healthy fat which reduces cholesterol and improves heart health .Beta-sitosterol found in Avocado helps to maintain healthy cholesterol levels. High in lutein which is also an antioxidant that has beneficial for vision and eye sight. High protein content in the avocado compared to many other fruits make it an important item to add in our diet.

Citrus fruits like Lemon/Orange

Sweet, brightly colored citrus fruits mainly available in winter season bring variety of colours to your dining table and lot of energy in the body. Citrus fruits are flavorful and pretty but also great to boost your immunity in winters where people are generally disease prone.

The antioxidants prevent the oxidation of cholesterol. When cholesterol oxidizes, it’s more likely to create blockages that lead to heart disease

Tomato

Lycopene found in tomatoes may help lower your LDL levels which is also called bad cholesterol. Resulting in lowering your chances of heart disease. Other nutrients in tomatoes, like vitamins B and E and antioxidants called flavonoids, may boost your heart health too.

Grapes

The polyphenols found in grapes, such as resveratrol, are strong antioxidants which has, lipid-lowering, and anti-inflammatory actions. These chemicals scientifically proven to reduce the risk of heart diseases .They may prevent platelet build-up due to clotting of blood and reducing blood pressure and then helps in protecting the health of your heart.

Strawberries

Strawberries are pink in colour and rich in vitamin C, fibre, antioxidants, and many other nutrients. If the berry is heart shaped it is clue that this fruit good to be added to your plate. They protect your heart and increase HDL in the blood.
