Creamy Lotus Seeds Recipe- Ingredients
- Lotus seeds – 2 cups
- Green peas – 1 cup
- Onion medium(chopped) – 1
- Vegetable oil – 3 tsp
- Garlic(smashed) – 5 Cloves
- Ginger paste – 2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Garam Masala – 1 tsp
- Red Chilli powder – 1/2 – 1 tsp
- Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
- Tomato – 1 cup
- Dried Fenugreek leaves(Unakkiya uluva ila) – 1/4 cup
- Cashews – 1/3 cup
- Coriander leaves (chopped) – 1/4 cup
- Salt
Creamy Lotus Seeds Recipe – Preparation
- Take a non-stick skillet and heat 1 tsp of oil , add the lotus seed to it and stir until a golden brown colour and turn into crisp then it set aside
- Make a paste with the cashews and one cup of water
- Saute onions over medium heat for about 5 minutes add ginger and garlic to this
- Then add powder spices and tomato puree mix this thoroughly
- Cook until the tomatoes darken.
- Add the lotus seeds the frozen green peas and the dried fenugreek leaves.
- Add a cup of water to this and stir well
- After some time when the mixture came to boil, add the cashew paste and salt to taste
- Few drops of lemon juice can also be added
