Ingredients used
- ½ cup of quick cooking oats
- 2 cups of water + ½ – 1 cup of milk
- Sugar as per the taste
Method of preparation
- Take the oats in a pan, add 2 cups of water and ½ cup of milk. The use of ½ cup of milk gives a slightly thick consistency.
- Add some sugar for a sweet flavour, stir it well and heat the mixture on low-medium flame.
- Continuously stir the mixture and allow the oats porridge to simmer.
- After 5-6 minutes, the porridge gets thick.
- Once it is ready, switch off the flame and transfer it to a serving bowl.
- Sprinkle some sugar for an additional sweet taste.
- Serve it warm as it becomes thick when cooled.
