What will be my Resolution ?

My Story

Rather than choose a resolution, I have instead decided to clean out the things, which I don’t want in my life. The story of my life is not fixed. It keeps on changing, shifting to be precise. It’s important that as the protagonist of this story, I consistently be a character with power, rather than a victim. I witness how as I change my story I change my life.

Worry, Anxiety and Guilt

All these emotions are useless. I practice changing the words. “Oh my god what if I be late at office” becomes “I have always been on time at office.” Being less anxious takes a lot of effort. I find this logical: I spent years inadvertently practicing worrying more. It’s time to begin undoing this practice.

My tendency to imagine the worst case scenario

The worst case scenario does not prepare me. All it does is keep me in a perpetual state of high alert. So I change from the worst case scenario to the best case scenario and live the joy of a thousand perfectly possible outcomes.

Relationships that hurts me

In the past 2 years I’ve spend my time with a person who has been hurting me all along. I want my relationships to be loving, supportive, joyous. And if they are not, I know who I’ll be spending time with.

Positive Vibes

The people around me either give me negative or positive vibes. I spend more time with those who fill my heart, less time with those who leaves me doubtful and confused.

Donating Things Which Are Not Useful

If I have things that weighs me down, or that fills my cupboards, that are not either beautiful or useful, I find someone who needs them way more than me.

Junk Food

Rather than telling myself I cannot eat junk foods. I tell myself that I deserve better food, than to feed myself with something that is unhealthy to me.

Resolution

Only when you close one chapter, you can start a new one in your life. Cleaning out the old is what makes room for the new.

My advice would be, celebrate what you’ve achieved in 2017, and don’t put too much pressure on yourself to achieve the goals next year.

Baby steps are better than no steps. Make your goals achievable.

Hope you have a great 2019.
