As a traveller when travelling across the country I am sure all of us have noticed people eating omelets or selling omelets, it is found commonly everywhere.But there are a hundred ways then one to make this simple egg dish, but the most common way is by just adding tomato,chillies & onion to the egg. The Spanish omelette is known in Spain as tortilla.  It is a traditional dish in the country.  It is famous dish around the world now and has rich history.  It was first tried in the 17th century and its tradition is still alive

It can be served by itself as a snack or warm with a salad for dinner.  Healthy and easy to prepare, it is a Spanish classic for your dining table

Spanish Spicy Omelette ingredients

Serves -3 | Preparation time – 10 mts

  • Eggs – 4
  • Low fat milk – 1/2 cup
  • Salt- 1tsp
  • Crushed chillies – 1 tsp
  • Hot sauce – 1 tsp
  • Cheddar cheese – 2 tsp
  • Chopped green chilly – 1
  • Sliced Zucchini – 1/2
  • Chopped broccoli- 2 florist
  • Pumpkin chopped – small piece
  • Ginger – small piece
  • Bell pepper chopped – small
  • Oregano to sprinkle

Preparation – Spanish Spicy Omelette

  • Beat all the ingredients in a deep bowl with hand beater
  • Grease a skillet and preheat it’
  • Pour the beaten eggs and reduce the flame and cover the lid tightly
  • Let it cook for 12 to 15 minutes
  • Slowly dish it out in a round plate
  • Enjoy it with bran bread and hot tea/coffee
