Onion Pakoda-Onion-fritters-ulli vada – evening snacks recipe
Onion fritters – Onion Pakoda is popular evening crunchy snacks.It is an easy snack preparation recipe in just 10 minutes .Good tea time snack especially during cold, winter seasons
- Thinly sliced onions – 1 – 2 cups
- Green chillies – 2-3 finely chopped
- Curry leaves and coriander leaves – 3-5 chopped
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Ginger Garlic paste or ginger garlic chopped – 1 tsp
- Gram flour – 3/4 cups
- Rice flour – 2 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Coconut oil for deep frying
sliced onions, chopped chillies, curry leaves, red chilly powder, ginger garlic paste or chopped, rice flour and salt mix everything well to coat the onions with the flour and keep aside for 10 minutes
Heat oil in a fry pan, once oil is hot add a spoonful of pakoda mixture.
Fry it till it becomes golden brown on both sides. Then remove it on oil paper and serve hot with hot tea/tomato sauce
